I am so pleased to announce Age is Just a Number, my 25th published novella! I never thought I could publish even one of my stories…I certainly never envisioned 25!
Age is Just a Number focuses on the difference in age between the two protagonists, Dane and Miranda. But it isn’t the only challenge these two face. I have been patiently waiting for the time to be right to publish this story…three months past its intended release date! I really like this novella, and I’m sure you will, too. You may find it here.
I will also publish a stand-alone Christmas short story both later this month, and then again in December. Both have been published before in Lesbian Yuletide Christmas Stories, but they are getting a fresh start released as single short stories.
I must apologize for my long silence…after such a wonderful string of publishing something every month, I suddenly fell silent, and I’m sure some of you must have wondered what was going on! The truth is I have been battling ill health for the last few months as the doctors worked out exactly what was wrong with me. But now my path to being well again is underway! I already feel much better and have a sense of renewed energy, and I look forward to publishing more novellas and short stories in the new year.
I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful fall season…the leaves have already turned and most have blown away, but I have been enjoying the lights that are already going up around me, as well as the cups of hot chocolate that always seem to coincide with the cold weather!
To my American and Canadian readers, Happy Thanksgiving! To the rest of the world, I will wish you a very happy autumn.
A very Happy New Year to you all! I hope you are staying warm and cozy during these cold days.
January is an excellent month for staying in and writing, and that’s exactly what I’ve been doing! I am finishing up the writing of one novella this month, for publication in April, and another book, already completed, is being edited for publication around the first week of February. I’ll tell you more about that book in my next blog.
Meanwhile, I have just published my 4th short story, The Grass is Always Greener.
All of my short stories are starting to attract some interest, which pleases me very much, but this one has always haunted me.
I knew a couple, years ago, who were the direct inspiration for the people featured in this story. It isn’t them, but they gave me the idea. Please do read it and let me know what you think.
Have a safe and happy 2017!
Well, if I thought November was busy…here comes December, whipping by in a flash!
I just released my newest novella, Intimacy, and most exciting of all, it’s now available in both e-book and paperback form!
My first republished Christmas short story, A Christmas Homecoming, is currently #1 on the LGBT short reads list. I couldn’t be prouder.
My second republished short story, Grandma’s Christmas Gift, is swiftly climbing the charts, as well.
I am so glad for the opportunity to share these with you all.
I hope you all have a very wonderful and peaceful holiday season.
This is a busy month in the Folger household!
I have just published my Christmas short story, A Christmas Homecoming. This was previously published in Lesbian Yuletide Love Stories, but I am re-releasing these stories slowly as stand-alones.
My next novella, tentatively titled, “Intimacy,” is currently being edited, and will be published the beginning of December, along with my next stand-alone Christmas short story, Grandma’s Christmas Gift.
Meanwhile, I am hard at work, writing another novella to be published early next year!
I have so enjoyed watching the beautiful trees with their leaves changing. Now the winds have pulled most of the trees bare. I love the changing of the seasons!
I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!
My short story, A Christmas Homecoming, is ready for publishing around the 1st of November. I have already published this one, and others, in Lesbian Yuletide Love Stories, but I am attempting to give each story more exposure by publishing them individually.
I will publish one in November and one in December for the next three winters.
I am really enjoying the cool weather…the crispness in the air, the scent of smoke…I will break out the hot chocolate before long, but right now I am still awaiting the first freeze.
November will bring new and welcomed tasks. I now have 20 novellas and three new short stories published. I have one more novella to write this year, which will bring my total of novellas waiting to be edited and published to 12.
Incidentally, you can find me on both Facebook and Twitter. Leave me a message, and I will respond.
Have a lovely end of October,
I am re-releasing each of my Christmas-themed short stories individually, beginning with next month. All six were originally published in Lesbian Yuletide Love Stories: six from me, and six from Debra Stang.
So, in November I will release the individually published short story, A Christmas Homecoming, followed by another one in December. Next year, I will release two in the same time period, and then the following year I will release the last two.
A Christmas Homecoming, as you can deduce from the title, is a heartwarming story about reunions and making the best of things.
I love this time of year, with the beautiful memories it evokes, and the chill in the air that hints at many cups of hot chocolate and comfortable conversations.
Enjoy the rest of October.
